Project Background

Luohu District Culture Center, founded in December 1981, is the earliest district-level culture center in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. It organizes mass cultural activities in the urban area of Shenzhen, and plays an important role in the development of mass culture in Shenzhen. Along with the development of the city, the existing Culture Center can no longer satisfy the increasing demands. To make up for the shortage in cultural facilities and improve the cultural and sports infrastructure, Luohu District decided to develop a new culture and art center on a new site and create a mixed-use cultural landmark integrating culture, art, museum and other functions.

Location

The Project is located in Liantang Sub-district, Luohu District, Shenzhen. Liantang Sub-district extends to the west mouth of Wutong Mountain Tunnel on the east, Luofang Road intersection on the west, Fairy Lake Botanical Garden on the north, and Liantang River, the boundary of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, on the south, adjacent to Ta Kwu Ling, New Territories, Hong Kong.

Liantang Sub-district is an important urban living area in Luohu District. With a low floor area ratio, it is known as the “Back Garden of Luohu”. It is home to various natural and cultural attractions, such as Wutong Mountain, Fairy Lake Botanical Garden, Hongfa Temple, Shenzhen Reservoir and etc.

Project Location
